My Story
A Journey from Memory to Purpose
When I was a child, one of my most vivid memories was watching my grandmother cook a special dish using Perpetual Spinach – an Indian spinach with tender stems that tasted almost like young asparagus. She would simmer it in a rich, flavorful gravy made of browned onions, rice, dal, and sesame seeds. That dish was more than just food; it was an experience, a memory wrapped in warmth, love, and tradition.
Years later, I wanted to recreate that dish, but I struggled to find all the right ingredients in the Netherlands. That’s when I decided to grow them myself. I started with a few pots on my balcony, nurturing the plants that would bring this taste of home back into my kitchen. But my passion for growing food quickly outgrew those pots, leading me to a 300m² allotment garden.
As I spent more time growing, I realized my purpose was bigger than just recreating a cherished family recipe. I wanted to help others develop that same connection with their food – to create not just meals, but memories. Food is more than sustenance; it’s a link to our past, a way to honor traditions, and a gift we can pass on to our children and grandchildren, just like my grandmother passed on to me.

Quality, Responsibility, and Flavor
To achieve this, I am committed to growing food with care and responsibility. My focus is on cultivating unique flavors and varieties that bring something special to the table, whether it’s a rare herb or a vegetable grown for its exceptional taste. But it’s not just about growing – it’s about sharing. I love teaching others how to cook these ingredients in ways that enhance their natural flavors, allowing them to shine in your dishes.
Where I Grow
A Community of Biological Farming
I grow microgreens, salads, and leafy greens on my 300m² allotment garden, where I personally tend to each crop with care. My farming practices follow biological principles, meaning I grow food in harmony with nature, without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. Although I am not officially certified organic due to the high costs of certification, my commitment to sustainable and responsible farming is unwavering.
I am passionate about providing our community with fresh, flavorful, and responsibly grown produce. I believe that food grown with care not only tastes better but is also better for the planet.
